Everyone hits a bump in their diet and everyone will always come across an issue with their body not responding to certain workouts.

The best thing to do when your weight loss hits a plateau is to:

You will inevitably hit a bump in the road with your weight journey. It's how you deal with it that matters.

1). Evaluate

Carefully evaluate the circumstances. Analyse photos of progress and check if they tell a different story to what you have seen on the scales. Just because your weight may have stopped briefly does not indicate trouble. That's why it's better to look at images and to measure key parts of your body from the waist size to chest size etc.

2). Adjust

Are you tracking your nutrition? There are many apps on the market that make this process simple and efficient. One thing you must not do is give up. Everyone hits a plateau at some point in their lifestyle change. Look at minor changes to your nutrition and workout regimes that will allow you to stay mentally fresh and allow your body to respond better.

3). Stay calm

One way to stop achieving your ambitions is to allow setbacks to dominate your mental state. Stay calm, analyse the situation, and make one small change at a time until you start moving in the right direction again.

So, in the immortal words of Margo Channing, "Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy ride"!
